Hello Everyone, my name is Michell Plested. I am a amateur writer, podcaster, blogger, dad, husband and a few other things thrown in for good measure.

I have written five books to date: 1 fantasy novel and 4 YA novels (1 Adventure, 3 Superhero). I have also written short stories in multiple genres.

My podcast is titled "Get Published" where I discuss various topics of interest to authors who are looking to get published themselves. I also interview published authors, editors and soon publishers and agents. You can download the podcast at www.getpublishedpodcast.com or find it on iTunes.

I look forward to interacting with you all.

This is the wonderful guy who pushed me over my 50k on Sunday night!

Give him a warm welcome guys... this is one we want to keep around!

WOW! Even my family doesn't tell me I'm wonderful. I'd blush if it wasn't true Razz

All kidding aside, I learned in the first NaNo that the writing community is large and vibrant and friendly. Writing doesn't have to be a solitary exercise.

I know first hand how lonely and stressful writing can be. I also know how hard it is to be confident enough to keep slogging away without the moral support of the community.

I've benefited from many (MANY) very kind people giving me that shot in the arm and it really is the least I can do to be a cheerleader for the community in turn.

I'm glad I was able to provide some help to you to get past the 50,000 words. I know you could have done it without me, so thank you for giving me some of the credit.
