Hello All

Hi everybody!

My name's Starstrike (or Star/Stars. whichever) I discovered this forum through a link on NaNoWriMo somewhere, can't remember the exact location. Anywho A little about me.

I'm a 23 yr old University student in Canada studying to be an Archaeologist, this is my first year for degree, but my third year in school. My style of writing is Adventure/fantasy. though it's not the elven type fantasy everybody's used too. I'm trying to write a novel series based on children of the greek gods.

When I tell that to most people they ask if it's like the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series. And no, for those who are wondering, it isn't tongue

. The only way that they are similar is that there are kids that a children of greek gods/goddesses.

I'm not published, though I would like to be. I want to get the first two books in the series done before I send anything off, though.

Yeah so that's pretty much it about me.

I'd definitely love to hear more about your novel! What your current word count?

Oh my god, I can't believe it took so long for me to comment, real life sucks!

Anyway yes, I was wrting this during NaNo, though I'm still not done book one, which started in 08, and I tried starting book two, think i only got like 500 words in :shame:

I'm writing in the present day and my MC's are Skyla, Drake, Diana, and James.

School and work mostly, and trying to get my novel done by the end of the month. I'm going to try and get it published either as an e-book or in hard copy.

What about you, what have you been busy with?

Sorry I have not been on much all. I am working on finishing my 2nd book. My sister and I are haveing our short story book published and I am planing a wedding. Oh and work and my kido.. so a bit nuts. I should check more.. sorry Sad

Hey congrats being close to nearly publishing! I am desperate to be finished by the end of 2010! NaNoWriMo was a good starting point for me, I like to ponder and edit, so it's always good to have a deadline. Good luck with finishing and publishing!

Are you thinking about taking part in Julnowrimo? I'm on there as Feytouched and I will be taking part this year (as I mentioned in my blog).

What have you written since we last saw you? Any cool new short stories?

Sometimes I think starting is the hardest part. Anything that helps you get a good start on it is great Smile

Yes the wedding is mine. Set for Aug. 21. Now if I can just get the invites out Smile

As for how close to publishing. We are hopeing it will be out by October. Right now we are just waiting on the cover art to be sent.
