| If you don't recognize me, that's because I'm using one of my many alter-names. (Mahala!) I'm somewhat new to writing stories, been doing it for about a year. (Boring classes.) I specialize in fantasy/science fiction and just plain fiction, most of them have death and love in the plot somewhere. None have been published beside me putting them up in a blog so that others can find them, which you can visit. http://poisonedparadise-marziba.blogspot.com/And also, for those interested, my roleplay forum: http://infiniteuniverseroleplay.freeforums.net/I love to take my characters back to the darker ages, somewhere around Forgotten Realms and Lord of the Rings type times. Some of them are in the present, and I love bringing light to special stories in bleary backgrounds. (That's why I'm taking Creative Writing for some high school credits, and hopefully it helps.) I have a large selection of characters I used for roleplay some time ago, but some either never made it off the board or they were retired after a long life span. Namely Evera Kaui/Eve of Shadows. She was my first major character and ended up being plagiarized at one time by a jealous friend, which wasn't so fun. | |

| I've always found roleplaying very helpful in writing, since one of the main goals of roleplaying is to create a comprehensive complete character, which many say is the hardest thing to do. Your blog book is about the drow... are they your favourite race, or simply the one you're writing about now? Either way, Welcome to the board, I can't wait to see more posts from you! | |

| I love drow, elves, centaurs, thestrals, sylphs, faeries, dwarves, unicorns... Drow is what I happen to be focusing on, I was hoping to unleash some of the darker themes in my writing that way. (I know dozens of torture techniques but not WHY I know them. ) Lilithia was originally intended to be a hybrid of demon/dragon/drow, but that was left out only to a little slice, it's barely mentioned how much of it is in her blood.
Ephemeral, another one of my creatures, is a sylph. (Like Jareth off of the movie Labrynth.) Evera Kaui is a demon straight off of Satan's own lineage, and her daughter Elphabia is 2/3 demon, with a full blooded demon husband. Morina is human but her boyfriend is a neko. Marie, a corpse bride that can become alive through her lovers. (Twist on a succubus.) Michelle, a succubus. And Malaika, a goddess bound to the human form of a great queen. (All the other unmentioned characters are human.)
(Cookies if you can identify where I got the inspiration for this character! It's a reference to a show that originally ran from September 12th, 1993 - June 9th, 1996.) Taka is a G.E. L. F. (Genetically Modified Life Form) She escaped her holding facility after taking command of the computerized security system. She is adept at physical fighting with a third more of the average woman's strength and she is one of the most intelligent of her kind.

| Thanks, I love them all like I would a family. Even if Evera is really just an interpretation of my bad side. | |

| Very interesting characters. The book I'm working on right now is my nice characters. I have a different book that's in the wings right now, but it's about the darker side of life as well. Mainly because I have a lot of interest in books that embrace the darkness. I put it to the side when I started writing about my demon cat. However, it may be the one I try to write for NaNoWriMo this year! I'll have to think about it. Do you have a special technique for coming up with your characters names? Some of them are wonderfully unique! | |

| Usually it has a meaning, sometimes it evolves, and some are just random.
Taka, Swahili for 'trash' which is what Taka is regarded as by normal people. Malaika is Swahili for princess or queen. Nuka, again, Swahili for 'trash', off the Lion King. Ephemeral- Meaning 'shifting' or 'changin' for her uncanny ability to 'winwalk' short distances. (Disturbing.) Evera Kaui, originally Eve of Shadows, the wife of a destructive demon and thus the only one to harness him. Kaui is a Hawaiian sounding name, of course. Marie's last name is Arachnae, meaning spiders. (She LOVES spiders...) Paolo is the name of an artist I like. Mahala has Indian roots, it mean 'loving one'. Marziba, Zabine, Malifain, Solanil, Celaine, Elphabia, NivibaMorina (Zazie), are just random.
I have about... 3 pages of specifically created names, and it takes a while of tinkering to perfect them. (Like Zaknafae. It took 45 minutes to come to Zaknafein off of R.A. Salvatore. It's his grand daughter's name.)

| By the way... Who did Dritz marry (or foist a child off on) anyway? No self respecting Drow woman would have him (a man, a slave, who believes himself as good as a women... he should remember his place and cower in fear and awe), and neither would a "regular" elf (the hate simply runs too deep, even knowing that he is not like the others, they still wouldn't sleep with him)... Is his daughter a half-drow or what? (Sorry, I've always wondered... ) | |

| Actually, in this story it would be Vendes Baenre. (During the time he was in the dungeons. Vendes saw how adept he was at fighting and desired to raise a child worth killing Matron Baenre and taking the seat.)
So Lilithia is full drow, but her mother absolutely despises her and Drizzt never even knew he had her until he returned to kill Vendes. (That's not how it happened in the books, mind you.)
She could have been Innovindil's child, because she has not prejudice against Drizzt. (Moon elf.) Poor Drizzt. It wasn't his fault but he certainly loves hi daughter. (He's very, very proud of how she had survived the trials Vierna didn't manage.)

| Interesting... I'm still surprised that any drow would have him... Although I can see an optimistic drow hoping to get a strong daughter from him, I still have trouble seeing the situation (given what I know of drow nature, at least). What book is that from? It would be interesting to read it!
Oh, and Crazy, I was re-reading our posts here, and you said that me and Marziba were both very bold in our characters. What did you mean by that?

| It's in the Legend of the Drow series, four books. In one, Drizzt returns to Menzoberranzan. Vendes is highly optimistic, or was, about Lilithia but Lilithia crumbled that. | |
